Stephen Gazzard
Games Programmer
Welcome
Hello, welcome to my site. My name is Stephen Gazzard, and I am a game programmer. Ever since I first learned to program at the age of 13, I have always found myself steering my studies towards creating games. I became very excited about game design and programming, spending a lot of my free time in my high school years designing games with friends or on my own using tools like GameMaker, or the editors for Myth 2: Soulblighter.
I am also very passionate about programming, and have taken every chance I've had to learn more about it. In high school, I took both the computer programming (Turbo Pascal/Visual Basic) and computer science (Dr. Scheme/Java) classes, including challenging AP Computer Science A/B as a special (self-directed) project in grade 12.
After graduation, I moved on to the Visual and Game Programming program at the Art Institute. In my studies there, I have learned C++, DirectX, WinSock, Flash/Actionscript, and much more. Through my studies, I've taken my passion for programming and making games and turned that into a career decision that I am very serious about.
